What type of postal item should you choose?

Ordinary postal item

The least expensive type of postal item, with no tracking or certification of the fact of delivery. The postal item is delivered to the mailbox, size permitting, or to a post office if the postal item is bigger.

Trackable postal item

The postal item is trackage with certification of the fact of delivery. The postal item issued to the addressee without a signature. It is delivered to the mailbox, size permitting, or to a post office if the postal item is bigger.

Registered postal item

The postal item has certification conforming the fact of the delivery. It is issued to the addressee in receipt of a signature (or unique code). The postal item, depending on the type, weight and size of the postal item, will be delivered to the addressee at home or to a parcel machine or post office. The addressee can forward the postal item to the most convenient place of receipt: home, parcel machine or to another post office.

Insured postal item

The postal item is insured against its loss, theft or damage. The insurance amount is paid by the sender. The postal item has certification conforming the fact of the delivery. It is issued to the addressee in receipt of a signature (or unique code). The postal item, depending on the type, weight and size of the postal item and additional services, will be delivered to the addressee at home or to a parcel machine or post office. The addressee can forward the postal item to the most convenient place of receipt: home, parcel machine or to another post office.

Additional services

Cumbersome Parcels

Available for registered and insured postal packages

Choose a cumbersome postal item if it exceeds the maximum size of the postal package. Maximum dimensions for large postal items:

• For domestic postal packages, total length and biggest circumference up to 450 cm, none of the dimensions may exceed 200 cm
• For international postal packages, total length and biggest circumference up to 300 cm, none of the dimensions may exceed 150 cm

Price: 50% of the postal package forwarding price

Fragile

Available for registered and insured postal packages

Choose a fragile postal item if the contents are highly fragile and special attention is required during delivery. Wrap the package in accordance with its weight, form and content in order to ensure that it is safely protected during transportation, as well as add the note Plīstošs/Fragile (image of a fragile glass).

Price: 50% of the postal package forwarding price

Issue notification

Available for registered or insured postal items

An additional form is attached to the postal item to be signed by the recipient. The signed form is sent to the sender by post.

Price: EUR 2.20 for domestic postal items; EUR 3.00 for international postal items.

Postpaid postal items

Only available for insured domestic postal items

The addressee receives the postal item only after paying the amount specified by the sender. The collected postpaid amount is transferred to the sender, in accordance with the chosen type of bank transfer – to the PNS account, to a credit institution account or by postal transfer. The amount of this sum does not exceed the insurance sum.

Price dependent on transfer type:

• to a PNS account - free of charge
• to a credit institution account - 2 % of the postpaid amount, min. amount: EUR 4.00
• by postal transfer: 2.5% of the amount, min. amount: EUR 1.00
